These terms, policies and agreements stay the same for any later courses or programs. Refund policies for each program follow.

School admission policy

To be admitted to TLC, students complete the school application and provide a valid photo ID.

Program calendar, schedule and pricing

Classes follow the current TLC program schedule. Minor changes to the published schedule may happen but will not change the total number of classes. Pricing follows the current TLC price list. Review the official calendar, schedule and price list before you sign the application for admission. Prices and schedules are subject to change.

Duration clause

This agreement stays valid for any later courses the student registers for or pays for.

School activities and events. TLC hosts activities at the school and in the community, which may involve transportation to and from outings. Teachers guide and coordinate but are not responsible for your well-being or belongings. If you choose to take part in a school-related event, you agree you are a willing participant, and TLC is not liable for any incident or injury that may occur.

Refund policy

Withdrawals and cancellations

All programs · before the start date

If you withdraw or cancel	The school will refund
More than 1 week (7 days) before the start date	100% of tuition
More than 3 days but less than a week before the start date	70% of tuition
Less than 3 days before the start date	No refund

12-week programs and private tutorials. To receive a full refund, request cancellation at least seven (7) days before the course start date. A written cancellation 3–6 days before the start date receives a 70% tuition refund. Cancellations later than two (2) days before the start date do not qualify for a refund. The registration fee is not refundable. There is no refund for students who start late or pay a prorated tuition amount. Private classes include 1 absence with credit per month if you notify the office in writing 24 hours in advance.

Full-time IEP students who pay in advance

Withdrawal after the full-refund period follows this policy for one quarter of the Intensive English Program ($3,160.00). Refunds are made directly to the person or organization that made the payment.

A different refund policy applies if you pay monthly. Late payments incur a $30 per week charge. Payment due dates are on the monthly calendars in the classrooms.

Full-time students with a monthly tuition agreement

Withdrawal after the first day of the quarter follows this policy for one quarter of the Intensive English Program ($3,285.00).

Students who choose to pay monthly must sign the Monthly Tuition Payment Plan Agreement.

All part-time students in the Intensive English Program

You may request a full refund in writing at least three (3) days before the course start date. From 2 days before the start until your third class, withdrawing earns a 70% tuition refund. After your 3rd class you do not qualify for a refund. This policy applies only during your first month of studies, and if you sign up for fewer than 4 weeks of classes there are no refunds.

Refunds are made only to the person, company or agency that paid the school. If an agency paid, speak with the agency directly. Refunds for payments by check or wire transfer are issued as a school refund check. If you paid by credit card, the refund goes back to that card.

Foreign language, Saturday English and private programs

You may request a full refund in writing at least three (3) days before the course start date. After that there are no refunds on tuition paid. Private classes include 1 absence with credit per month if you notify us 24 hours in advance by email or phone.

If you pay for a class and we don’t have enough students to start it, you receive a full refund of your tuition and registration.
