Do you wish that your kids could study in the United States for 1-2 years to really improve their English and get a great education at the same time?

Every year at our school, we have mothers who apply to our school for an F-1 student visa to study English in our Intensive English Program at Tampa Language Center. These mothers drop off their kids at school in the morning, and attend classes with us from 9AM to 2PM, Monday through Thursday. They pick up their kids on their way home from school and go about the rest of their day with their family.
If your husband has the capability to work remotely, he can come along for the ride too! There is no need for him to study while he is here, but he can take a course or two if he wants. He can also travel freely between your country and the USA with his F-2 visa.
Many people don't know this, but if you are here on an F-1 visa and your children are here with you on F-2 visas, your children can enroll for free at public schools in the USA!
Some moms ask us if there are special programs available if their kids don't speak any English, and the answer is YES! Many schools have teachers who are ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) certified, and they will assist your child to understand what's going on in their classes. The USA is a country of immigrants and it's not unusual to have 20-50 kids at every school that need this kind of assistance.
Also, you can be sure that your kids will learn English quickly, and that their English will help them with new opportunities when you return to your country. If they study for 1-2 years, they surely won't forget this newly learned language!
So, how do you get started? First, you need to find a school like Tampa Language Center that can offer I-20s. Then you need to apply to the school. Most schools only require passports, an application, and a bank statement showing that you have enough money in your bank account to live and study for 6-12 months (This amount can be anywhere from $10,000-$25,000 USD or the equivalent in your currency).
After meeting all the application requirements, you will have to set up an embassy appointment and do an interview to see if they will approve you. These appointments are available in a few days in most countries, so the process is very quick.
Once you are approved, you can enter the USA 30 days before your English program starts. Children can be enrolled at any time of the year to public schools, but obviously, August and January are the most ideal months to enroll.The cost of attendance in the intensive English program is between $8,000-$10,000/per year. But remember, children study in the USA in public school for free! Mom will start to study in the intensive English program, and after studying for 9 consecutive months, she will be able to take an annual vacation. At Tampa Language Center, students can take 3 months off, and most mothers use this time to take a vacation and travel around the United States or even return to their countries.
Last year, we had a student named Emannuele from France that studied for 1 year with us while her children attended public school. She described how great it was for her kids to be immersed in the language and culture for a full year. She saw it as an investment in their future, an investment in herself, and a great family experience they will always look back on with great memories. She spent her vacation period, which aligned with her kids' summer break, travelling to New York City, Las Vegas, California, and Seattle!
